A different kind of meaty
I've had some time today to catch up on my podcast queue. One of the programs I'm happy to make time for is NPR's Science Friday. There are so many good science news podcasts that it seems unfair to single one out, but then Science Friday put out this segment:
That one really struck a chord with me. It goes way above and beyond mere news reporting. It shows the "Science with a capital S" that I love so much. No kid gloves or "good question" pandering. Just, BAM, taking a topic straight on, disagreements and all, to hash it out. With the media so full of echo chambers, talking points, and sound bites, it is downright refreshing to hear adult conversation for a change.
The Impossibly Stupid Seal of Approval goes to everyone involved.
