The World Cup: this post has nothing to do with it

It's been a while since I last posted (been busy workin'), so here is a sneak peek update of a minor portion of a single tab of an early version of a development build of my previously mentioned iOS app:

"But, Impossibly Stupid," you might say, "that doesn't look much like a financial simulation!"

Indeed it doesn't. Hopefully it looks a bit more like a football field (more American than Association) and a scoreboard than a boring balance sheet. Just like a casino turns statistics into glitz, I'm hoping I can turn economics into fun games. Maybe even a game that pays you to play it! All signs are pointing to it working pretty well, and it should be polished enough for release by the end of July. If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and would be interested in beta testing the pre-release candidate (probably starting sometime around the end of June), let me know.

Can you guess what the game mechanic is from just that small screen shot? It may not look like much, because I didn't try to give too much away at this early stage, but there is enough information in there for someone who knows their stuff to puzzle out what is going on. Post a comment with a guess to show your mad money skills.
