Spam Outings, Round 3

It's always fun when smart people do stupid things:

Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education
655 Research Parkway, Suite 200
Oklahoma City, OK 73104

spammed us on Sunday, 20 December 2009 - 3:15pm and again at 5:33pm via IP 156.110.227.149

It actually looks like I get to offer a two-for-one special on educational institutions today:

Georgia Department of Education
1970 Twin Tower East
205 Jesse Hill Jr. Drive SE
Atlanta, GA 30334

spammed us on Sunday, 20 December 2009 - 6:28pm via IP 168.8.111.9

Assume that if you were "educated" in either Oklahoma or Georgia, your personal records are not OK but rather GA! And probably in the hands of identity thieves.

If that's not a good enough deal for you, try this one:

Home Shopping Network
1 HSN Drive
St Petersburg, FL 33729

spammed us on Sunday, 20 December 2009 - 2:49pm via IP 161.254.6.55

Before you get too worried about your credit card information being stolen, let me point out that it resolves to hsnwebmail.hsn.net. Hopefully only your email address has been taken by spammers, but you should probably stop buying from them on general principle.

I had to save the best for last:

Paramount Pictures
MOB Basement - Datacenter
5555 Melrose Avenue
Hollywood, CA 90038

spammed us on Sunday, 20 December 2009 - 2:41pm via IP 204.110.115.52

That's right, paramount.com has a huge hole in their internal security. When media companies cannot even keep their own computers secure, I don't see how it can be fair for them to sue the average American into bankruptcy when something gets pulled off their Windows desktop machine.
